Our first chapter deals with identifying context clues to help our reading comprehension. So what are context clues? Well, these are words that are found around the "new word" that gives as hints or clues to its meaning.
Context clues are words that HELP us understand the meaning of an unknown word. A writer will use such aids as examples, synonyms, and antonyms to help us "GET IT".
